Who can attend the mediation?
Every party to a mediation needs to have, at minimum, the following people attending: -
- A person who has the full authority to act or decide for, on behalf of the party that they are representing.
- Supporters and/or advisors as the party feels necessary. This can be a range of people including a friend, a family member or professional advocates or advisors such as a lawyer or an accountant. Remember, the mediator can not give you any advice during the mediation. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the appropriate advisors with you on the day.
